At telli, we're building the first AI-native phone system. Since launching last year at Y Combinator , we've grown >$2M in annualized revenue with a team of only 12 people. Today, most B2C companies fail in their customer communication not because they don't care, but because they can't keep up. The sheer volume of calls forces them to outsource to poor-quality external call centers or have their internal teams spend hours on repetitive, easy calls. With telli, our customers now rely on AI voice agents that handle their repetitive calls, freeing human agents to focus on what matters - talking to customers when it counts. The result: higher efficiency, happier teams, and better customer experiences. We've seen firsthand that legacy phone systems are not designed for an AI-first world. That is why we are building the first AI-native phone system that lets B2C companies manage both their human and AI teams on one platform. Our founding team knows this problem inside-out, having managed a 150-person call center before. We know how painful and expensive scaling phone operations can be for companies. There is a lot of work ahead. The opportunity is massive. We are ending an era of poor-quality external call centers.

your mission

This is a pivotal hire for telli and a career-defining role for a true builder. Your mission: architect our company’s AI-native operating system from first principles. You won’t be running old playbooks; you will be building the intelligent engine designed for one purpose: to deliver a flawless customer experience that scales us to $100M ARR.

what you’ll be responsible for

Master the entire customer lifecycle, from designing a seamless onboarding process to driving expansion and renewal, always striving for world-class customer experiences

Design, implement, and scale core business processes with an automation-first mindset, using tools like n8n or Zapier to ensure we operate with maximum efficiency

Systematically gather, analyze, and champion customer feedback to the founders and our engineering team, directly influencing our product roadmap and identifying new growth opportunities

Collaborate closely with engineering to define and improve the internal tools we need to scale effectively and serve our customers better

As a foundational member, you will play a key role in defining the culture, processes, and structure of our operations team

Hi all! We're Seb (CTO), Finn (CEO), and Philipp (COO), building telli.com. What we do telli builds AI voice agents that automate phone calls for companies selling complex products like solar panels, mortgages, and insurance. Sales journeys with outbound calls convert far better than online-only funnels — but managing those calls has always been painful and expensive. Problem Companies rely on warm outbound calls to drive conversion, but scaling them is broken. They reach less than 50% of their warm leads on the phone. They pay ~$55 per connected call hour. And they have almost no quantitative insight into what's actually driving revenue from those calls. Solution telli is the AI call automation platform for B2C companies. With telli, businesses can reach leads with a smart calling strategy and multi-modal approach (SMS), make human-like calls in multiple languages, achieve clear outcomes like qualification, appointment booking, or direct transfers, and understand what's happening across thousands of calls at scale. For example, a leading home-buying platform uses telli to fully automate their lead pre-qualification. Team Finn and Philipp ran contact center operations for Enpal's heat pump unit — a $2.4bn European energy installer. They know this problem inside-out.
